01 — Who we are

DRIVERRR operates the car sharing service described on this website and in our mobile applications. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to members, applicants and visitors to our website.

02 — Information you give us

When you apply for membership we collect your name, date of birth, contact details, driver license details, and a photograph or scan used to verify your identity. When you book a trip we collect payment details, which are processed by our payment provider and never stored in full on our systems.

03 — Information we collect automatically

Our vehicles and applications generate data during normal operation, including:

• location of the vehicle before, during and after a booking

• trip start and end times, distance and duration

• vehicle telemetry such as speed, fuel or charge level, and fault codes

• app and website usage, device type, and IP address

Vehicle location is collected continuously while a vehicle is in our fleet, including between bookings, because we need to know where our cars are.

04 — Why we use it

We use this information to verify eligibility and prevent fraud, to operate and bill for bookings, to locate and maintain vehicles, to investigate collisions, damage and traffic citations, to provide member support, and to meet our legal and insurance obligations.

05 — Legal grounds

We process personal information where it is necessary to perform our contract with you, where we have a legitimate interest in operating and protecting the service, where we are required to by law, and, for optional marketing messages, where you have given consent. You can withdraw consent for marketing at any time without affecting your membership.

06 — Who we share it with

We share personal information with our payment processor, identity verification provider, insurers and claims handlers, roadside assistance and maintenance partners, and, where required, law enforcement and parking or toll authorities. We do not sell personal information.

07 — How long we keep it

Membership and trip records are retained for the period required by tax, insurance and limitation rules, after which they are deleted or anonymized. Vehicle location history is retained for a shorter operational period, except where it relates to an open incident, claim or investigation.

08 — Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to certain processing, or ask us to restrict it. Requests can be made through the app or by writing to the address below. Some information must be retained even after an account is closed, and we will tell you where that applies.

09 — Security

We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and logging of internal access to member records. No system is completely secure, and we will notify you and the relevant authority where we are required to do so after a breach.

10 — Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses cookies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure how the site is used. You can manage non-essential cookies through the banner shown on your first visit or through your browser settings.

11 — Children

The service is not available to anyone under the age of 21, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

12 — Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Where changes are material we will notify you through the app or by email before they take effect.
